Apart from the GLB SUV’s base powertrain that powers the base trim mentioned in the table above, an AMG-enhanced 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine is also offered for the AMG GLB 35 trim. This AMG enhanced engine produces 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The base engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and the power is sent to the front wheels. The AMG GLB 35’s engine is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT Eight-speed automatic transmission and the four are sent to all four wheels through the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. The engine offerings are energetic in character and offer a fun driving experience. On top of that, they are also fuel-efficient.
The cabin is upscale and spacious as well. Both the GLB 250 and GLB 250 4MATIC trims come dressed in MB-Tex upholstery along with power-adjustable front seats that also get three-position memory settings. The AMG GLB 35 gets upgraded sport front seats that are power-adjustable with three-position memory. Leather upholstery along with heated and ventilated front seats are offered as optional features. The base GLB gets a wide array of features which include a seven-inch touchscreen display along with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, HD Radio receiver, “Hey, Mercedes” keyword activation, four USB-C ports, and Voice Control with Natural Language Understanding. The AMG GLB 35 on the other hand, gets an upgraded 10.25-inch touchscreen display. All the GLB trims come loaded with safety features.
