The Genesis G80 sure does have a more powerful engine compared to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. That said, the Genesis G80 is 400 pounds heavier than the E-Class which gives the E-Class a better power-to-weight ratio. If this power is not enough, the E-Class can also be spec’d out with a 3.0-liter inline-six cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Both the engines come mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. While the base trim comes with a rear-wheel-drive system as standard, the E350 4MATIC and the E450 4MATIC trims are equipped with all-wheel drive.
Talking about features, the 2021 E-Class comes with synthetic leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, 64-color ambient interior lighting, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a touchpad controller, a FrontBass stereo system, Bluetooth connectivity, a sunroof, HD radio, and two USB ports, to name some of them. When it comes to optional features, the Mercedes-Benz offers features like wireless device charging, a panoramic sunroof, satellite radio, gesture-based infotainment controls, a 13 or 23-speaker Burmester stereo system, Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated and massaging front seats, heated rear seats, heated front armrests, heated steering wheel, power rear sunshade, and power soft-close doors to name a few.
Safety features are abundant with features like PRE-SAFE system, Brake Assist (BAS), Adaptive Braking Technology, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Advanced Tire Pressure Monitoring System, ATTENTION ASSIST, Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call Service, and Crosswind Assist, to name some of the many standard features on offer.
